چکیده
Abstract The building industry is one of the least digitalized sectors global economy to date. Unlike other industrial sectors, manufacturing buildings characterized by traditional handicraft techniques and individualized construction processes. Digital production technologies from have not become established in because they do allow necessary individualization or are uneconomical transfer construction. advantages additive (AM) that automation contradictory. Furthermore, a new design strategy embedded 3D printing, namely build up material only where it structurally functionally needed. AM is, therefore, both economical resource‐efficient. DFG Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio TRR 277 Additive Manufacturing Construction (AMC) two universities TU Braunschweig Munich wants research technology fundamentally also contributes digitization industry. This article gives an overview goals, work programme, methods 277, as well its three focus areas 18 scientific projects.

Application of Additive Manufacturing in Marine Industry
The advantage of additive manufacturing (AM) (e.g. reasonable time and expense in prototyping, and reliable product) has triggered the idea of using this method in manufacturing of marine vessels components. The current article tries to introduce basic concepts of AM method and its application in marine industry; have a glance at additive-manufactured parts microstructure; elaborate the challen...
متن کاملAdditive Manufacturing in Practical Use
Today’s product designer is being asked to develop high quality, innovative products at an ever increasing pace. To meet this need, Additive Manufacturing has shown the possibilities of enabling complex geometry and economic small batch production. As a result, AM opens a new opportunity for designers to create innovative products that were unfeasible to be manufactured economically before. Exa...
متن کاملLiving Additive Manufacturing
Living organisms such as bacteria are able to grow, respond to stimuli, and divide as part of their life cycle. Designing smart three-dimensional (3D) materials that are able to perform such feats, i.e., continue on-demand growth and respond to external stimuli, is always a challenge for polymer and material scientists. At present, Johnson and co-workers have made a significant step forward in ...
متن کاملAdditive Manufacturing – IDH Perspective
Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies build near-net shape components one layer at a time using data from 3D CAD models. AM technologies are the result of evolution of work in 3D printing and stereolithography (the STL files used to convert 3D CAD to layers for building parts come from stereolithography terminology) and could revolutionize many sectors of U.S. manufacturing by reducing compo...
متن کاملAdditive manufacturing technology: Identifying Value Potential in Additive Manufacturing Stakeholder Groups and Business Networks
The development of additive manufacturing (AM) technology is expected to transform product design and manufacturing. It is predicted that the effects of AM on business will be diverse and extensive. It will be critical for business owners to observe how AM impacts on conventional supply chains and business networks, plus the effects on customers’ value propositions and on value creation. Value ...
